The Church of St Nicholas

This is the only church that was built in the Dubašnica area in the past hundred years. The cornerstone was placed and consecrated in 1999, and the church completed the following year. It is a blend of modern architecture, and architecture traditional to the region. The church dimensions are 10m x 7.50m, rising 10.45m into the sky. A bell tower, measuring 15.75m in height, is located next to the church. The stone altar depicting Jesus and the apostles was made by academic sculptor Dragan Kwiatkowski. He also created the statue of Saint Nicholas located on the left side of the altar. The 17th century statue of Our Lady, brought in from the parish church of St Apollinaris in Bogovići, is located on the right. Stonemason Vlado Morožin built the stone pulpit, while Mate Ljubičić created the hanging Franciscan cross above the altar.
