The Chapel of St Anthony
It was erected in an area frequented by the locals in the 17st century. It was mentioned in a document in 1663, when during a visit, Krk bishop Franjo Marchi stated the chapel was located in a village of blacksmiths (nella villa di fabri). Including the apse, the chapel measures 13.60m in length and 7.20m in width. The interior height of the chapel is 4 m. The belfry has three openings, two of which have bells. The third and smaller opening contains stone ornaments. The entrance is dominated by a sculpture of Saint Anthony with Child, located in a semi-circular niche in the right column of the loggia. The apse is closed and serves as sacristy. The shrine is dominated by a baroque marble altar and two columns with Corinthian capitals. The altar painting depicts St Anthony with Child in the centre and the images of Saint Joseph and the Virgin Mary are located on the sides. The historical importance of this chapel lies in the two displayed inscriptions in Glagolitic script. The year of its construction, 1724, is chiselled into the lintel of the portal, while the upper threshold of the right window contains an inscription that reads as follows: 1725. Mate Kraljić čini učinit ovu puneštru od svoga u Svetoga Antona. ( Mate Kraljić has built this window at his own cost).
